Argentina probably started issuing Top of the Pops
in 1972. The records were initially released on the local Fermata label, based in Buenos Aries. These album releases feature unique track listings, odd song versions, coloured
vinyl etc. and are a fascinating area for the collector. Fermata also released at least one spin-off single.
EMI appear to have become involved after Fermata stopped issuing, and we have evidence of EMI-issued records from as early as 1973 and as late as 1978, with other labels on the scene meantime.
