Canada Vol 11 ("It Takes A Hit Vol 2")
_
The album pictured here appears to be a pressing of Top of
the Pops volume 11, but on the Ace of Clubs label. We are unsure of its
background but we believe it to be a Canadian release. The Ace of Clubs label was active there in 1970, whereas it had been wound up in the UK before that point.
There are also some loose connections to the equivalent West German edition. As with that LP, it is billed as "Vol. 2", and has the sub-title "Smash Hits From England". It also has the songs listed in the same order on the front. (Ace of Clubs was owned by Decca, who were also behind the West German edition.)
Of course if this is "Vol. 2", there is almost certainly a "Vol. 1" (see below). More information will be posted when known.

Possible information on volume 1
This one is another Australian LP, and is probably unrelated to the UK series. However, it was on the Ace of Clubs label, and interestingly has a cover photo almost identical to that West German edition of Volume 11. It seems there is some sort of connection, although the details remain sketchy. This LP does apparently contain soundalike cover versions, although again, they are not all in the Poppers' repertoire, and so are probably from a different source.
