The 70's Uncovered - 1999
Comments: This release was a box set containing four CDs (also available individually). The tracks are sorted into themed albums covering disco, glam rock, classic rock and love songs. The love songs album inevitably duplicates much of the recent 70's Love Songs CD, while the cover of the glam rock collection borrows from the artwork on the Abba tribute CD.
These discs are not credited to the Poppers, but each has been given its own false group name on the back (see below), as if to hide the recordings' true nature. In fact a few (on the Love Album disc) are not Top of the Pops tracks at all, being instrumental versions taken from the obscure Bruce Baxter album of 1977, Guitar Extravaganza.
There is also one more anomaly on the first disc, where "Love Train" fades down about half a minute early, thereby losing the final chorus repeats.
