Comments: In an effort to compete with labels such as K-Tel and Ronco, Pickwick started up their "50" double LPs. This was the first of four made up from Top of the Pops recordings.
This album consisted of hit titles made famous by black recording artists and among the fifty selections were all twelve tracks from the much earlier Motortown Hits.
This album has no sleeve notes. The centre of the gatefold contains an ordered track listing and the back cover is identical to the front.
