Italy "Bohemian Rhapsody" (single) (N 5090 107)
The earliest known Top of the Pops release in Italy is also one of the most notable - a 45 edition of the classic "Bohemian Rhapsody". The track was coupled with "Art For
Art's Sake" from the same album, volume 49 - although we are not aware
of an Italian edition of the LP as yet.
The label scan shown here is for a promo copy, which was not issued in the picture sleeve; on the B-side is a version of "Holy Roller" by Nick Steve. Interestingly both sides of this promo disc carry the catalogue number of their respective commercial editions!
The act on Bohemian Rhapsody is credited as Green Fly (don't ask us why!!). "Green Fly" also issued "Silly Love Songs" / "Arms Of Mary" in the same singles series, and the A-side is probably the Poppers version, as originally released on volume 52.
There may well be other such singles in existence. See next page...
