Turkey Volume 26 (SHM 800)
_This record is basically a standard pressing of Volume 26, which carries
the corresponding UK catalogue number. Unlike earlier Turkish releases which were sold in UK sleeves, this one has a Melodi badge on the cover and a redesigned back.
It will be noticed immediately that the front cover art is not from Volume 26 at all, but from the subsequent Volume 27! Why the switch? It's not clear - but it is possible that Volume 26's cover art had been used elsewhere. Likewise it is not clear what sleeve Volume 27 would have had, assuming it to have been issued in Turkey.
The back cover includes the inscription, "Plak no. 9", which seems to be part of a Turkish numbering system, although not exclusively for Top of the Pops albums. The design on the back is essentially the top half of the UK sleeve, with a little tweaking.

The songs on the front are in a new order, and have been printed in a typeface not seen elsewhere on Top of the Pops albums.
There is one more interesting note: The labels give the song titles, but instead of the usual songwriter/publisher credits, they name the original artist and record label! Thus, for example, we read: |
