Sleeve notes:
Spring fever is upon us again boppers, and its time for some super smashers superbly supplied by our very own “TOP OF THE POPPERS”. A great collection of 16 songs assembled for your listening pleasure on this delightful Top Of The Pops Volume 79. What else can you possibly desire for your listening and dancing delights? Your recent favourites, too expensive to collect as individual tracks, are now available on one glorious album. Don’t be late, they are all great. |
Comments: Our cover star is Debbie Smith.
Titbit: Boney M's “My Friend Jack” is the lowest placed chart single on any Top of the Pops album, peaking at a dismal no. 57, and was the only one in the series which fell short of the top 50. Curiously, the second-worst performer is also on this same LP: "Love Enough For Two" by Prima Donna. (This doesn't include the 16 songs which failed to chart at all though!)
