West Germany
West Germany was one of the major markets
for records in the 1970s. As regards Top of the Pops, releases started with Volume 3, issued on the
Bellaphon label. (Bellphon used their own album title and volume numbers, and a recurrent sleeve design in different colours.)
At some point between Volume 7 and Volume 10, Bellaphon dropped out and releases started appearing on the Musik Fur Alle label. Again, the arrangement would not last too long, as by Volume 15 the standard Hallmark albums were being sold with special German catalogue numbers.
There are probably gaps in our discography. These will be filled in as and when more information comes to light.
