Compilation albums
The first of these, Motortown Hits, has much in common with the Sing & Play albums, although it is not part of that series. It was in fact the first of several themed compilation albums, all of which are built from the standard discography. Apart from the first few, these are double LPs, which eventually settled into Pickwick's successful "50" album format. After they were mothballed, a couple of cassette compilations added to the listing.
